Hi all,

Anyone else deal with fairly frequent nausea? I've been pretty stable all summer, but some mornings when I wake up I feel terribly nauseous. During the day I'm having more frequent episodes. Heat is sometimes a trigger, but I'm not hot today, just feeling ill.

I do have a history of migraines, but am not having headaches or seeing auras. That said I know things like nausea can proceed a migraine.

Any thoughts?

Yep, me and nausea can be companions far too often every week from time to time. :o

One of the best and only things that work for me is sucking on one of those old fashioned round peppermint candies you can buy in a bag anywhere or find at a lot of restaurants.

Nausea can go with autoimmune disease and it happens a lot. Many people on here have complained of it over the years. I have had nausea and food aversions for more years than I can remember. Back in the 80's I had so much nausea every morning I would tell hubby not to wiggle the  bed. It was terrible. They never did find out what caused it. After a few years the morning episodes became less.

The daily nausea off and on has continued at least 30 years. Then in the early 2000's I had about 3-4 years when I would wake up every morning at 4 AM with terrible nausea. I had a nursing job where I could set my own hours which was good cause it took me hours to feel well enough to go to work. The routine was 7-up and gingersnap cookies. That would eventually knock the nausea down enough to get up and get ready for work. Then I had the weakness that prevented me from getting ready fast. Take a shower, sit down and rest, brush my teeth, makeup, sit down and rest, get dressed sit down and rest.

Undiagnosed myasthenia was the weakness instigator. Doesn't pay to get too upset over things cause one thing leaves and another thing rears its ugly head. :P Good luck. Irish

In addition to sjogrens and PBC, which can cause nausea, I was also diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis.  Gingerale, ginger candy and ginger snaps are staples for me.

Thanks all. Not sure how I forgot about Ginger Ale, I'll be sure to keep some on hand.

I have gastroparesis which was caused by my Sjogrens. It often leaves me nauseous.

I also have fairly frequent nausea. I always keep a supply of sub-lingual Zofran on hand.
