Hi

I have read that dr.robert fox is the leading rheumatologist in usa. If you have met him can you please share your feedback about him, especially in diagnosis and his treatment plans?

Thanks

I was Dr. Fox's patient in 1993-1994. He is one of the 3 top Rheumatologists in the US.
He is a fine gentleman and is a leading researcher.
Unfortunately he missed my diagnosis. His criteria for diagnosis differ from the European Criteria. The latter fit with my diagnosis.
He does not accept Medicare.
There is a huge shortage of Rheumatologists in the State of California. Even the academic centers are short of staff. The main reason I think, is the very poor reimbursement by Medicare and
the Insurance Companies.
Legally speaking, I cannot comment on my interactions with him. Good luck.

I used to do a lot of research about Dr. Fox and know that he did practice in California. He started many years ago pursuing the Sjogrens disease and I would not be surprised if he is retired by now. I have not seen any new articles by him lately. Maybe others know more. Irish
