While at our local library the other day a book caught my eye, The Chronic Pain Solution by James Dillard M.D. I have been reading bits and pieces every day and am only part way through, but am already impressed by what I am learning and by the approach.

The book was written by a pain management doc who works in a clinic that uses conventional and alternative medicines, so there's no, stop all of this, start doing all of this or food is bad or meds are bad, etc. It's a very educated and rational approach which can help a person manage their own pain to some degree and work well with docs.

Just sharing in case anyone else wants to give this a read.
