Bucky

Hi - this morning, as I signed into Sjogren's World, I noticed that there are currently 92 people who are "guests" visiting this site.

I am extending to you an invitation to come out of "lurking" status, and join the membership at Sjogren's World.  You obviously come here for a reason - to read posts by other members in reference to ways to deal with Sjogren's, suggestions, vents, etc.

Unlike some websites, here at Sjogren's World we do not charge membership dues.  The staff is unpaid and volunteer countless hours keeping this site up and running.

Two women, Spring and Care, developed this site as a safe place to come and discuss the symptoms, the challenges of finding the right doctors to deal with Sjogren's, and a way to meet others who are like us - dealing with the effects of Sjogren's Syndrome.  There is even a hosted 2-hr. chat each Thursday evening for those who wish to "talk" in real time.

We're a worldwide forum with members ranging in age from teenagers to those well into their 80's (and possibly beyond).  We're female and male, from many different walks of life and various chapters of life - from students, full-time or part-time work, semi-retired, retired, single, parents, grandparents, etc.  We talk about our Sjogren's, our kids/grandkids, our pets, our hobbies, the weather and all kinds of subjects.

We're not doctors and can't diagnose anyone - however, we can bounce ideas off each other and give our experiences as to what does, and doesn't work for us in our quest to keep our Sjogren's manageable.  Each person is different - what works for one, may or may not work for another.

Anyhow - I'd like to invite you to go ahead and join our forum where you will be able to see more information than what you see as a "guest", and you will be able to post replies to threads, or even start your own thread about something you've been wondering about, etc.

Come sit a spell and join in live chat - we serve non-fattening, zero calorie goodies while discussing all kinds of things.  ;D

Bucky, I have to tell you that I lurked around this site for about a year before I signed on. I had not been diagnosed very long and was really just checking out what this whole thing was all about.

This site welcomes any of those who are diagnosed or undiagnosed and fretting about their health. Always helps to have someone to exchange ideas with. Good luck and you're welcome aboard any time. Irish
