Hello to all.

I had my usual 6 month check up last week with my rheumatologist. He mentioned new 2016
Guidelines on Plaquenil dosage.

In 2010 he put me on Plaquenil 200mg twice daily. After checking my weight he has now decreased it
To once daily. I was doing well on it at twice daily and every 6 months I had my eyes checked by
My eye dr.

I have a worry that my fatigue and joint discomfort will return on the lower dose. Has anyone else had this
Happen? He mentioned other drugs that I may need to try.

Shelly

medications: synthroid- meloxicam- plaquenil- lots of supplements

Everyone reacts differently to dosage changes.  You should be able to see how you feel. What other drugs are your doctor suggesting?  Going to a drug with more side effects may not be in your best interest. All drugs have side effects or complications...the idea is minimizing the collateral impacts.
