Lack of sweating and erythromelalgia

I was diagnosed with Sjogren's last year, although I have had symptoms since my early teens. I have had erythromelalgia since last spring and rosacea for over a decade. I had a day recently where I made a poor decision and went for a bike ride on a really hot day. Generally this would mean my hands and feet and face would turn bright red and swell and throb and burn and I would regret my entire life and all the choices I had made leading up to this point. My face got that agonizing purple-red flush to it as anticipated, but my hands and feet broke expectations and failed to burn. They poured buckets of sweat instead, like more sweat than I'd thought would be humanly possible. I was sliding out of my shoes on the downpedal. It was gross.

But after I got back I had one of those epiphanies where you almost physically feel it snap into place in your brain. I used to be notorious for getting sweaty palms when playing stressful video games but that hadn't happened in over a year. In fact, I couldn't recall a single instance of having sweaty hands or gross damp socks and or anything in a very long time. It's like instead of sweating, all the heat builds up under the skin like steam that can't be released. I have a very similar effect with my rosacea.

I still sweat a ton on the rest of my body but my hands, feet, and face seem to be mostly incapable. It was just that one day that offered a brief respite and I have no idea why.

I know sometimes Sjogren's can affect your ability to sweat. Is it possible that this is the cause of my erythromelalgia? Has anyone had anything similar?
