Hi y'all!
So My GP wants to start me on statins, because I have high cholesterol. I was trying to figure out how, at 115lb, 5'8, I got high cholesterol! I already eat mostly low fat, because my husband has High cholesterol.
So I did a search on dislipidemia and sjogren's and found several articles explaining that sjogren's patients are at higher risk for this and should be regularly tested.
Here is an excerpt with the link to the research:

DISCUSSION/CONCLUSION:
pSS patients frequently present abnormal lipid profile, which are associated with higher levels of ESR. Thus, similar to other systemic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), lipid profile should be evaluated in pSS patients, with the aim of initiating specific therapeutic strategy for prevention of cardiovascular events.
