Hi. I am dealing with a first flare since 2012. I haven't had to take anything for 3 years (like pred or immunosuppressant) and I felt normal. Then I got a light respiratory virus in early May and by late May I felt the usual neuropathy developing and I even get it in my face. Dr. thought about methotrexate but I wasn't comfortable as I have had liver toxicity in the past from Imuran - the cellcept seems a bit easier on the liver. So far (3 doses in) I haven't had any bad side effects, jusy tiredness, but that's probably from the flare. Anyone used cellcept for small fiber neuropathy? I am very thankful that my rheumy treats the neuropathy off the feeling. Twice I have had nerve conduction studoies and biopsies and the neuro's just say there is no neuropathy...dumbies, it is small fiber and they should do a skin biopsy. Hoping to get to the point to stop the pred (10 mg) as it makes me crazy.
