Yes, I have familial sky high cholesterol.  I also have arcus senilus which goes with my cholesterol:

It is a ring of cholesterol around my iris!   Scary eh?  I saw it first when I was 37, in the era before there was even talk about cholesterol.  1979.  I looked in the mirror one day and there it  was.  I started  Statins as soon as they came on the market.[/img]

A long strange trip.  My older son has it too, and my younger son started on Statins in his early 20's.

It has been shown to be highly effective for RA with greater rates of remission at high doses. The research is out of Australia. I can look it up if you like.

Well, dearest Angels, I'm going to keep taking it.  I take about 2400 mg a day (morning 12-1400 evening the same).  My husband is stopping.

But since I've already developed severe coronary artery disease, and have dryness, it seems sensible to keep taking it, since there isn't a downside that I've seen.

thanks for all the input.  I knew I would get lots of ideas and I have.
