HI! So, I was wondering if anybody every goes to the annual meetings for Sjogrens given by the Sjogrens Foundation.  I think this year it's in Tampa Florida. They charge a pretty hefty fee, so I am a little hesitant. But, if it would help me out a lot, I'd go.
Sjogrens and RA,  Morphea (skin scleroderma), Hashimoto's,
Nexium, synthroid, HRT, plaquenil,  Restasis, Maxi-tears supplement, L-glutathionne, CoQ10, folate, trintillex,  multi vitamin. lisinopril.

I went to one shortly after I was diagnosed, as it happened to be near where I lived.

It provides a lot of good overview information by experts. There's usually someone talking about the dental aspects, the dry eye aspects, nervous system, etc.   As with any group of presentations, some of it was a wee bit too basic and some was too complex. If I went to exactly the same presentations now, some of the complex stuff would be useful, as my needs have changed.

I think the other valuable thing is to make an effort talk with other Sjoggies, and learn from each other. I didn't do a good job of that, and wish now I had.
Primary Sjogrens, dx June 2009, Immunoglobulin deficiency, axial spondylosis arthritis, IBS, autonomic neuropathy
Omeprazone DR 40 mg, mobic 15 mg, Plaquenil, LDN, B1, B6, B12, D, fludrocortisone, gralise, various inhalers

Deb,

I really enjoy them. I have been the last two years, so this will be my 3rd. The presenters are excellent. And I find it very reinforcing to meet & talk with other Sjoggies. I have met & made friends in other states & we link up each year.

Take care.
