Finished My Frist 5k

So despite everything that's been happening I walked my first 5k today (fundraiser for a local organization). It took me almost an hour, but I was just glad that I finished.

On to the Sjogrens Walkabout in Harrisburg on October 18!
Raynauds, sero-negative RA, Primary SjS, osteopenia, degenerative disc disease, disc protrusions,stenosis, Carpal tunnel,  poly neuropathy, myoclonus, hiatal hernia, esophagitis, viral infection, Leukopenia. Restasis, Vitamin D, B12, Evoxac, Lanzoprezole, calcium acetaminophen.

My son has Crohn's disease. He took up running - as did his wife and now he raises money for research through the running and sponsorship. He found that 5Ks and 3Ks were more feasible for him than half marathons because of the fatigue factor. His wife favours the longer distances. (She doesn't have Crohn's though!)

As well as the running they adopted a vegan diet and both swear they feel better for it.
