I've lost two 'ologists!

I'm delighted to say that, after almost 6 years, I'm no longer in the care of a uro-gyny or colo-rectal surgeon, as of yesterday.

This is because, although I still have pelvic floor problems, the rectal irrigation is working, and I'm as fully functioning as canI be. I will still have access to the continence nurses, so should be fine.

This feels like a huge achievement, after all my previous surgeries, so I thought I would share it with my buddies who will understand my joy.

Losing some 'ologists' is wonderful.  I don't think I've lost any...but.....if I can just stop gaining them!

Plus I've never even heard of the two you have, so I know I"m ahead of the game.

congratulations,.....I'm so glad something is working, and nurses are so much nicer than 'ologists' IMHO.

Yay, Kathyx . . . . so happy for you!!  It's been a long road for you and many, many trips to the different "ologists".

       We've come a long way together on the site Kathy. and I remember well all the problems you have had. and being from the UK you are rather special.  As Bucky says if we all live nearer each other we'd be celebrating ! so CHEERS,

Brilliant news Kathy, well done! You have had a long road to get where you are and I'm really pleased that the new treatment is working well for you.
I was thinking of you last week as we spent a week near Hebden Bridge, and visited Ilkley, Marsden
and the Salts mill, which was lovely!

Back to earth with a bump now though. - mountains of washing and my other foot op on Tuesday. It's a bit like getting pregnant again and remembering how much you didn't like giving birth!  I will be glad when it's Wednesday and I'm back home again.

Celebrating your freedom from 2 ologists with a cup of Yorkshire tea!! Take care xx

Ailsa, hello!

It's funny you should say you were in Yorkshire last week, as I was thinking about you too, and wondered when we might get to meetin Halifax. And, what a coincidence - we were in Hebden Bridge last Sunday -what a shame we missed one another.

I'm sorry to hear you are in for more surgery. Wishing you all the very best. BTW I remember the fear when I went into labour the second time too - I really panicked, and left it as long as I could before going into the hospital.

Will be thinking about you tomorrow.Keep in touch, if you can.
