I was in a low grade flare but seemed better until allergies started peaking two weeks ago, now waking with morning headache, which went on last May for 28 days, major fatigue, achy, mornings feel horrid. I know allergies trigger inflammation, just wondering what people do to combat this. I take allegra d, twice a day, am on steroids, IVIG, and still feel very bad.

It is interesting that you bring up allergies.  I was wondering why I find myself feeling so awful.  Duh!  I am in a flare.  The brain fog is horrific.  I have been so itchy so dry.  I can't stop rubbing my eyes.  I guess back to the many meds.  I take singular and zyrtec for the allergies.  I use whatever oils I can find for my dry skin.  Um and I need to drink plenty of water or I stay dehydrated.  I don't know what else.  I know others will have better suggestions.  I am still trying to address the fact that I will be on meds the one thing I hated all my life.  Good luck!

I see that you had colon cancer, can I ask what your symptoms were and/or how it was caught? I have had iron defienct anemia and blood in stool, off an on for last 10 years, had colonscopy 9 years back and it was clean, scheduled for another, been stressing about it, wondering if I have cancer, though they did two non contrast ct and an MRI not contrast and saw nothing, said if I had cancer it would show in those tests if it has spread.

Ever since about 1 month ago, with allergies in full bloom..ive been feeling like horrible flare..joints, head, fatigue...ughhhh.
Cant get out of bed. I know I have mold issues, and I guess tree and mold the worst.

Invest in a good hepa air cleaner, and make sure you stay inside, keep windows closed etc.

Cant take allergy meds..my 20mg of steroids don't help. Going to try some natural stuff I just bought...Hista-D..i think its called.

Wish winter was here..felt much better in the freezing cold?

I know I was just having more energy and then suddenly I went backwards. I wake up with headache and exhausted and the fatigue is bad, like do not feel like I slept. saw my doctor yesterday and he said likely allergies and then sjogrens flaring.  I am on prednisone, and not helping, he added singular for me to try, so I will see. But I am dragging around all day, wanted to stay in bed all day. SO frustrated, want winter back too.

I also have severe allergies to trees, grasses, dusts, flowers. My primary switched me from allegra to Zyrtec,I take it at night because it makes me drowsy. She also switched my nasal spray to Nasonex. Both have helped alot.I also have been on allergy shots for about 6 months with good results.

I talked with my ENT today about allergies, and asked him for suggestions on less drying allergy medications..he said that
Claritin or allegra not as drying? who knows? said to try low dose, even childrens dosage.

Im still looking into some natural formula..

Have been flaring too for the last month or so. EXHAUSTED, joint pain bad, tummy upset, dry. Suspect allergies, too, but then the infected root canaled molar extraction, infected dog bite, being in the hosptial on IV antibiotics for that for four days and now on oral antibiotics for 10 days is probably not helping, all while trying to keep up with work and also do job interview for one that is less stressful. Seems like a continuous flare recently.

Hi

I have lots of allergies too, and take Loratadine, Nasonex and steroid eye drops, which usually keep them under control. However, last couple of weeks, I have been using my reliever inhaler most days, which is unusual for me. Normally, I use two maintenance ones and keep well. I think it is definitely hay fever.

Wishing you all well. I know how miserable it an be.

I have this too and the flare continues for a couple months after allergy season. But my allergist and Rheumy agree on the meds that help tremendously!
Zyrtec 2x a day or Claritin
Zantac 150mg 2x a day
Pataday 1x a day for my eyes ( I use Restasis too along with more eye drops for moisture)
Nasonex 1-2 sprays 1x a day

I Also have severe and life threatening food allergies along with seasonal allergies.

I was diagnosed with Sjs in feb 2013. I never understood why I felt so bad during allergy season. I finally realized it last year when the flare went on for months. It's so frustrating.
