SURE!!

Sometimes it helps if you take your medrol in the morning.

Steroids will always hype you up at some of the higher dosages and taking it at night makes it worse. TAke it in the morning and life will be better. You may (most likely) be hyped up but it will not be as bad. This is when a lot of women do their housekeeping.

My sjoggie girlfriend was o 60 mom for some days and she said she got a heck of a lot done during that time. When the pills wear off then the house will be clean and you can sleep. Irish

I can never sleep when on Medrol dose packs! Yes, my house was pretty clean for a change.  :)
I use benadryl and even a little klonopin when on them.

Oh gosh, prednisone gives me terrible insomnia. I am currently taking 40 mg a day (so higher than a medrol pack) and even when I feel absolutely exhausted, I still can't sleep! I take all the medications that are supposed to cause drowsiness (like gabapentin and clonazepam) at night, and it still doesn't help! I might have to try the Benadryl!
SLE and SjS with PN. ANA >1:1280 speckled,
SS-A >8.0, RF positive. Botox for migraines, Clonazepam, Zoloft, Imitrex for migraines, CellCept 1000 mg, Plaquenil 200 mg, Restasis, Zofran for nausea, Gabapentin, Evoxac and Norco for pain.

Benadryl is so drying for me.  When I'm on prednisone, my GP/Rheumy always RX's extra Klonopin or Ativan because the prednisone really ramps me up and keeps me up at night!

A Medrol "pac" cannot/should not be taken at one time during the day...it misses the efficacy of the med...not to mention...side effects.  Mine is a HUGE headache.  Others have different side effects.

I have never taken a pac which was over 4mg per dose.  This means if I receive the Rx late afternoon, I take 24 mg the "first" day over about an 5 to 7 hour period,  4mg less each day...parsed out accdg to instructions during a 15 to 16 hour period.

I have my first sinus infection in years this week.  I happen to be on this size Medrol pac at present.  Today is 3rd day..this a.m. first time since first day without piercing...PIERCING headache.  As of today, I will be washing the outside of my house, cleaning up around my yard, overexercising until I run out of the stuff..plus about 7 to 10 days after the Medrol is completed.    I can hardly wait!  OH..and the sleep..I take Xanax..Rx by same GP Rxing the Medrol.   ;D
