Im not blaming my ENT..not sure why I would? If the hospital would have done the CT scan, I could have gotten my results immediately, and my ENT doc could have started treatment asap. Instead, I had to wait to get an appt, then schedule my CT scan, which by the way, I had to beg him for as well. Anyways, he was out of the country etc.  I know my body, as Im sure we all do, and the fact that we as autoimmunies have some out-of-norm things. I went to the ER with excruciating head/facial pain that I never experienced before...Begged for CT scan, explaining my health issues..Exposure the toxic black mold, Lupus, SS, Immune system like someone with AIDS..no t-cells, immunodeficiency disorders, etc..the list goes on. I have been hospitalized before with fungus in my esophagus, which can be deadly.
My labs never show indications of infections....ever..seldom get fevers. THe only thing this  ER doc was focused on was my slight elevated Troponin level, which might have indicated heart issue. (also says it can be elevated with infections?) that is why they wanted me admitted. After talking with and consulting two top cardiologist, they werent concerned, so that Is why I signed myself out. They also told me that they would probably never address my sinus/head issues, and I was in severe pain, left to try and get treatment elsewhere.i know this does not matter, however, and Im not looking for any monies etc. Yes, I understand I dont have a case, but I will definately send a letter to hospital president. I want this ER doc repremanded or something. Im just hoping they address the issue with her so it doesnt happen to anyone else. I still am in shock for the way she treated me..I still cant believe that I was not allowed to see another doctor as I requested either? Its not like I go to the hospital all the time either..maybe 1-2 times a year?

anyways, thanks for the advice..going to focus on my health right now. ENT said only way to remove fungus, if it is fungus, it via scope-surgery? we shall see....

I certainly wasn't intentionally placing blame on any one doctor.  Frankly, I think you deserved better care from them both.  Had your ENT taken your severe pain and history more seriously and thought it was emergent, you shouldn't have had to wait for a CT...much less beg for one.  He could have ordered the test directly and used the appt to go over results, not listen to you beg to get it done.  Too much time was lost in both cases and now you are paying the price.  And if he was out of town, the covering doctor could have done the same...that's why we have records...so other doctors can review them in situations like this.

It sounded like you were in significant discomfort and neither doctor addressed it in a timely manner.   I know you have some serious health problems and it bothers me to hear when people do not get adequate care.

At least it's being addressed now and hopefully you'll feel better soon.  Take care Gursie
