I am so happy that I found a new Endo today.  My old one was so uncommunicative, and a know it all.

This new Endo looked at my paperwork and talked to me about things at length. Like 1 hour 49 minutes.  She told me there are differences between generic synthroid and brand name, and she is beginning me on brand name.  Gave me a months supply in samples!  WITHOUT ASKING!  She even is suspecting something the old one didn't bring up.....even though my labs support it.....adrenal gland dysfunction.

I don't often say this about doctors:   I like her!

Forgot to tell you one of the best parts:

I talked to her about the Depo (after all Endos know about horomones too)

SHE AGREED THAT WITH THE NEW SURGERY COMING THAT I OUGHT TO COME OFF OF DEPO.

My words to her: I read that immobilization with surgery is contra-indicative with Depo.  The last thing I want is a blood clot that starts in my neck and goes to either my lungs or brain.

Her words to me: You did the right thing coming off of Depo.  I know that couldn't have been easy to come to that decision.  Your horomones may straighten a few things out on their own.  We'll follow up.

That's great! It has been my experience that a good endo is hard to find.
