A bit of a moan!!

I was meant to have a day procedure in hospital last week. Because of my asthma, I had to have a spinal. However, my very sensitive bladder went into retention again when the spinal had worn off, and for a couple of reasons, I had to stay overnight. I hadn't expected this, but had no choice.

The following day, I was discharged, a bit uncomfortable, but okay. The day after, I started have signs of a bladder infection, and have been unwell for a couple of days. The out of hoursdoctor confirmed there was a lot of blood, white cells and protein in my urine. I got some Trimethoprim, so should be feeling much better soon.

However, and this is where the moan comes in, the procedure I had (botox for obstructed defecation) has not worked, and I'm so disappointed. Such a minor procedure has caused such hassle, and it didn't even work. It's  frustrating, as I've had it done a number of times before and it has always been effective.

I guess I need a conversation with my colo-rectal surgeon to see if anything else can be done.

Moan away dearest Kathy,

All that, with complications, and it doesn't do the job.

And OD would be well worth moaning about as well.

It's always something and then, it's something else!

(((Kathyx))) - I'm sorry you have had such a difficult time.   :(

It's bad enough when we have to endure unpleasant procedures, and then when they don't work - how disappointing for you.

I hope the medicine you got will make you feel better ASAP.

Hang in there, dear.

Hugs,
Bucky

Thanks Bucky and Elaine

I'm doing a bit better today and am in work - although the brain is noticeably absent!

Hi Kathy - so sorry to hear of all you have been through.  What a horrible experience for you.  Hope there is something which works and is easier to bear just round the corner. Thinking of you and hoping things feel better really soon xxx Ailsa
