Twitching, tired eyes - flare?

I have been getting plenty of rest lately and sleeping well.  But my work is computers.  My eyes are extremely dry (although they do seem to be producing some sort of tears lately).  Work has been very busy.  I find myself sitting at my computer today staring endlessly at the screen just wanting to close my eyes.  They twitch.  Especially the left eye.  Because my eyes are so strained, I just want to sleep.  I have no energy.    I saw my amazing eye specialist just a few weeks ago and my eyes look great.  But this week they have been miserable.

I remember when my eyes went through the mysterious "twitching" episode.  I was very upset, but my doc just shrugged it off.  Fortunately the twitching ended just as suddenly as it had begun.

Thanks for writing this, I could have written the exact same

I have doubled, tripled etc on eye drops and I have slowed down - a lot - the last 2 days now. Seems to help.

I have also turned my humidifier back on - I had put it away for the summer

But stressing down also seemed to have something to do with it

PS. A year ago I also had bad twitching but also with eye pain and discharge - then the twitching was due to eye infection. It's hard to tell the difference so beware of possible infection
