A link between Scleroderma (autoimmune) and Thyroid?

This was an interesting article suggesting a link between the thyroid and Scleroderma.  Cooincidence that I started getting the thyroid nodules at the same time as my Scleroderma?  Also, it's talking about autoimmune processes in general....so since the thyroid is a gland and Sjogrens attacks glands....just a thought.
