Here's a link to an article summary by MedPage Today on statistics of people with Sjogrens getting complications.  Pretty sobering. But we all knew that.

Here's one interesting set of statistics:
"Three-quarters of the patients were seropositive for anti-nuclear antibodies, more than half were positive for rheumatoid factor, and a third were positive for anti-Ro/La antigens. "

So, something to show doctors - how many of us are seronegative!

Thanks for posting this.  It is indeed very sobering.  Seeing the statistics puts the entire situation in perspective.

This abstract is short and to the point so that if it's presented to a doctor at an appt he or she can see the relevant information quickly.  Now I want to get my hands on the full study to see the details. I'm trying to arm myself with as much information/ammunition as I can to bring to my doctors to bring them up to date.

Thank you so much for the link. I shared it with my boss so he has a better understanding of what I am dealing with. They have been pretty supportive so far but I don't think they understand that it goes beyond the dry eyes and joint pain. Great article.
