Having formerly been one of the "Put on a happy face" people and this very evening mourning all the things I can't do now I can really appreciate this essay. Thanks for posting it.

Well, when we have to cry we cry.....if we can.

BUT, research shows that by smiling, we actually create the reaction in our brains that happens when we're happy.

So, I believe to an extent in "fake it 'till you make it".

And also that most of the world doesn't want to hear about anything much that's real.

That's why I don't hang out with most of the world!

Just you guys and some real people in my life.
