I hope this is not what I'm thinking it is. It certainly sounds suspicious. So sad.  People have lost limbs.  Blood everywhere.  All bomb squad units called to the area.

I just got home and saw the news. I am shocked and sad. The news that I hear is that 2 are dead.
Was the race in progress? What about the runners?
So sad..

Yes, the race was in progress.  The winners had already finished but the majority of the runners were due to come through the finish line during that time period.

Cellphones/satellite in Boston was blocked.
2 people have been killed and so far 23 reported injured taken to the hospital...our prayers to you. Other injured at different hospitals....tragic.

Another explosion at the Kennedy Library...Boston

2 other devices were discovered and isolated in the immediate marathon finish line area.

Many runners continued past the finish line making their way to the hospital to donate blood for the injured.

Thanks for posting this.  I just got home from the neuro's office and had no idea.  Switched on natl news and trying to get more details.
I don't know what US cities are on alert....so sad this happened.

My first response to this was prayer. My mind went to analysis and I realized it was a botched attack. I think the bombs were mixed up. There is a style of attack that is used in the middle east where the first bomb is exploded for maximum destruction and the second is exploded to take out first responders. I thank God that the bombs did not cause this type of destruction and that the crowds were thinner when they went off.

The terror threat levels are higher making air travel more difficult. So much needless destruction, mutilation and death; I wish I could weep but my eyes will not let me. We have a few days until April 21, a typical day for these types of attacks.
