If your friend really likes the other rheumy, that changes things a bit. But before you switch as what is good about the new rheumy, because sometimes we value different things in our doctors.

I still give kudos to a dr who will call and give you a phone diagnosis.  Screw waiting around over a weekend and then get a call for an appt a week or few weeks away.  I say I got breast cancer and squamous cell skin cancer diagnosis over the phone 4 days apart from 2 different docs.  That helped me keep things together, feeling they were on my side and time was of essence.  To me being up front with a phone call for a diagnosis (even if it is something like cancer) is a real plus in a dr.  One of my drs sends off a pre-printed card and they put a check in normal or abnormal.  Whoop whoop, 6 vials of blood and that's all I get.

I hope you make the right decision and it's your decision.  Lucy
