Tomorroow, I am scheduled to have a stress test with IV for the contrast to go through my heart.  I had this schduled a few weeks ago, but cancelled because my knees were so sore from physical therapy to be about to walk on the treadmill.

Hoping I can stay on long enough for them to get a reading on me.  It isn't too bad, I can eat a light breakfast before 8:30
am.  Have not had any breathing meds since Saturday and skipped my heart med tonight.

They want me "as is" without anything helping me along. Also no caffeine from noon on today. Hope those knees will hold me going on the treadmill tomorrow.  Lucy

Hi Lucy

How did it go? Are you ready for a coffee yet?

Lucy, Hope all went well. I did that on Dec 7th and lived to tell about it. I have to admit that my legs are still stiff though. I think it was harder on me than I realized. Irish

I went through the test and they were trying to get my heartrate to 129 but I stopped at 124.  I probably could have gone the last 35 seconds, but decided not to "strain" myself.  I talked with the nurse today and she said my tests were normal.  Well, that is good news as my family has a string of early deaths from heart attacks, so I am glad to hear that.

We were trying to figure out why I am having trouble walking and trouble breathing.  Well, I am striking out with all the specialists telling me that "they can't do anything for me."  I am doing PT from my rheumy and I do think this is helping, but I am still awfully weak at walking.  The neurologist says "it's the Sjogrens."  I must keep doing PT and/or exercises or I know I will lose my ability to walk.  This is pretty scary.  Add to it that I get out of breath after a couple of minutes of exhausting.  I do see my GP on Friday to renew meds, will be interested to see what he has to say as I have not seen him in a long time, it's always a PA.

I heard from the nurse that my test was "normal."  That is what I want to hear.  Still doesn't explain my lethargy and breathlessness.

I had PT today on "land exercises" instead of the warm pool.  They put me through the mill.  Exercises are much harder on "land" than in the water.  I did pretty well and I can tell that I am beginning to feel a little stronger from the PT.  Next week, Iwill have one session in the water and one "on land."  I went to the grocery store with hubby to pick up prescriptions and buy a few things and I did quite well while I held on to one of the small carts for your stuff.  A few weeks ago, I wouldn't have even tried.  Lucy

Glad your stress test was good! Any good news is progress right? Glad PT is helping. Keep up the good work. CK :D
