no matter what type of shaving cream , razor i use--i get the rash and irritation from shaving... i guess its just from super dry skin. i even soak my legs for 5 minutes before shaving in the tub..  was just curious if anyone else gets this.. i also use a rx lotion from my derm but its not enough!

I have the bleeding issue in relation to cutting myself while shaving.  My solution was found when I switched to the Venus Embrace Razor.  You can do a google search for it, if you like.  It has five blades and moisture strips.

Same here. I know this sounds gross but the bumps bother me so much i try to limit shaving too much. I wish there was a cure for these darn bumps as i have wasted so much money on all types of products to try and help this issue.

I switched several years ago to an electric shaver. No problems now.

I'm bad about cutting myself because of my tremor.. That's why I like Schick Quattro For Women.. Not one cut since I started using them.. It's kind of expensive but the blades last 2 - 3 weeks if you wash it off good and let it dry.. You can get a 4 pack refill blades for about $11..   It has 4 blades and 2 conditioning strips so it also seems to shave close without taking off a layer of skin  and causing irritation..

I hate shaving my legs!  I tend to do it only about once a month and only do it then because my pants/slacks/jeans will pull on the hair.  In some ways, I feel as if I neglect my husband because I can't stand shaving my legs, I can't stand having hair on my legs and rubbing together and so I sleep with sweatpants on many times.  He likes it when I do shave my legs because then he can feel the soft skin when I sleep with just shorts or a lightweight pj bottom on.

The bumps and irritation is just so annoying.  However it is a little better with...yes, I've said this before and I'll say it again...olive oil.

You can use the blade several times.  My problem areas for cutting were the ankles, around the knees and the knee area.  Underarms were a problem too.

After my bout with MRSA, it was important to me, not to have any open wounds that would allow bacteria entrance into the skin.  That pushed me to research and try this razor.

If you would like, you can PM me, and I will give you a link where you can read various reviews for the Venus Embrace.

I found that the cheaper razors ding me up more then the more expensive razors.  I like waxing the hair on my legs more then using a razor because it last longer and gives a smoother finish.

Have you tried CeraVe cream (the cream - not the lotion!) RIGHT after you get out of the shower/tub? Don't rub your legs - gently pat off the excess water, then liberally apply the CeraVe cream. No problem with razor burn anymore for me  :)
