My single blue toe

This is common for me.  Last night when I was attempting to fall asleep was the first time I really "noticed" a slight toothache pain in the toe.  The discoloration has been there for a long time though.  I noticed it probably early summer.  If I rub it, the color goes to normal.  It is like that almost all of the time no matter if it is cold, warm or any time of the day/night.

My rheumy has told me to keep my hands and feet warm.  I am supposed to avoid extreme heat and cold.  My hands/feet do not turn as bad as the pictures on this web site.  If I wash my hands with really warm water, they turn bright red.  See if this article is helpful at all.

I sometimes end up with a blue toe. Sometimes with a blue section of finger. In my case it's not Raynauds. It's spontaneous bruising. I hope you find out why its happening.

I get that too, usually my big toe on my left foot.  This time though I've had a deep purple bruise on my second toe near the nail bed.  I don't have any injuries I am aware of.  Strange....

I dont understand raynauds at all my hands and fingers can get cold to the point of pain and some numbness, tingling but never turn those colors. Oh if I run them under hot water to warm them up they get a little red, but thats prob the hot water. So is raynauds always color change?

Tivia have you been diagnosed by a doctor with Raynaud's?  Everything I have found online has mentioned the colors, red, white, and/or blue, but I have no medical training. I would speak to your doctor next time you go in.  There are other things that can cause pain and numbness.  I hope you find some relief.  My hands don't turn a little red with hot water, they are very BRIGHT red.
