I find this intriguing. My niece is autistic but my daughter is not (but she does have Celiac)My sister-in-law has no autoimmune diseases & I have many.

Her autistic specialty doctor was interested in my AI & definitely thinks heredity has an impact. Weird. I hope there is more research being done. 
DX:Sjogrens w/mild Lupus overlap,Hashi,Celiac,Raynauds,Sm.Fiber Neuropathy,POTS,Fibro.,CFS,OI & other dysautonomia.
No thyroid
Fish/Shellfish Allergy

Yes, I also found this very interesting! My 11-year old son has autism.  My SJS was inherited from my Grandmother.

One of my friends has a 20-year old son with Asperger's, 10-year old son with Autism, AND her mother has SJS. Come to think of it, my friend has Fibromyalgia, too.

I will definitely be watching for more information about this connection! Thanks, Marty
