Went for the second chemo and slept thru most of it!

I have been nauseous this week and lost three pounds, so the dr ordered some med for it, one dose last three days, powerful stuff!

Well gonna go bak to sleep for awhile.

Unfortunately I heard from my nurse that chemo blocks to a certain extent the absorption of calories so it isn't unusual to drop some weight. Don't let yourself drop too much or get dehydrated. The 3 lbs you lost is probably chemo water weight as that happens to me too after chemo.

I got medicine for nausea in case I need it. Did they give you something to increase your appetite? - I could sure use that. So far I am maintaining my weight but it ain't easy.

Be sure to stay in touch with your dr or nurse there for any questions. You might not think it is important but it might be. They should have given you a list of possible symptoms so you know somewhat what to expect.

Try some Ensure its packed with all you need.  I freeze mine when  I am sick and cannot eat and then eat it with a spoon, slowly..Tastes better to me that way.
Feel better, glad its over.

Cricket, you are making progress!  Yes, congratulations on finishing the 2nd treatment.   I hope the nausea meds work for you.
Hugs and prayers,

Cricket,

I'm glad to hear you've accomplished this part of the chemo.  I also hope the nausea meds work to help you.  Please rest up and take care of yourself.  We're all thinking of you and wish you well.  ;)

Pisces, sounds like you have some good recommendations.  I hope you're hanging in there, too, Lady.
Blessings to you both.

Thanks ladies!  I only have 6 more to go!!

Today I am feeling tired and a bit weak, I will find something to eat.  My daughter suggested smoothies and that sounds good to me.

Pisces how are you doing?  They gave me Reglan, but the side effects looked horrible so I decided not to take that, and they gave me nauseous meds which I will take as needed.  Hope you are doing good.

Okay everyone have a great day!
