Hi  :)

I've been away for about 3 weeks. I was driving 'back up' for my husband and daughter. daughter was doing a charity cycle from one end of our country (UK) to the other and hubby was accompanying her for the second half of her trip. He happens to come from the far end of the country so, having got there, we vacationed there for over a week. I'm proud of them both but particularly hubby, who is 64 and was dxd with angina 4 years ago. His meds have obviously worked!

Their challenge was the cycle ride. My challenge was the driving! (One foot goes numb after about 30 minutes and I've discovered my hands get pins and needles these days and one is reluctant to let go of the wheel when I stop)

I'd like to say WELCOME to all newbies who have arrived since I last signed in - and I know there will be a few!

Anyway - I'm back now.  :)

Take care - Scottie  :)

Welcome back Scottie, and also to your family. The whole trip sounds great. Seems everyone on this trip did a good job getting through it. You must be proud of both husband and daughter. They must be very proud of you. I know we are.

Welcome back Scottie!

Congrats to your daughter and hubby for a job well done!  :)

Thanks everyone!  :)

My daughter's raised over £1,200 for her cause (which is the RNLI because she really appreciated lifeboats being around when doing the round Britain rowing. They didn't need one but it was nice to know they were there and they are totally paid for by charitable contributions)

Now I just need to get my head in gear for work in September. My colleagues are not going to be too pleased as I have at leat 4 medical appointments lined up during work hours. I can't change them to days I don't work because they are to do with specific clinic times.
Take care - Scottie  :)

Trying to get back into work mode myself now...we've got another day off though Monday bank holiday.  My friend just rang me to remind me otherwise I'd have been on the phones to people wondering why I can't get hold of anyone  ::)

Scottie, :)

We really missed you in your time away, but I know it was a real adventure for you, your daughter and husband.  They did a wonderful job-I can't ever imagine cycling that far!!  And you being the supportive driving "team"- well done!  ;)

We're glad to see you back and hope you're resting up before going back to work soon.
