There is always something being proven  to get people scared.

If we believed everything that is being written we would not last long worrying about it.

Dolly, I've seen people on this board comment that they had to replace their CFLs because of sun sensitivity. This is an explanation.

I did not read the article (save my reading for good stuff like People mag.) but I know from working under fluorescent liights for years, it bothered my eyes.  I have been off on disability retirement for 6 years now.  While I was still working I didn't know I had SJS, but my eyes were ruined from Lasik surgery and the bright lights about killed me.

Finally I asked my boss if I could have the lights above my desk taken out.  They complied and it was easier on me, not being under all that brightness.  It was easier to do my work as a secretary.  I'm rarely in those positions any more, but if a person is working under all the fluorescent, it might help to dim it a little.

I worked in the President's office of a college and it used to drive the janitors and any one else nuts who was bothered  by "having a light out."  Finally, they put a note up in the fixture it was that way for a reason.
