I am glad that I am at the end of a very challenging day.

Wow, Joe, that WAS a challenging day!

Glad to hear your mower and leg are both on the mend.   ;)

Take care of yourself,
Melinda

I have a set of house keys hidden in a neighbor's yard. I figured that one out a long time ago. Of course, I have their permission to do that.  And I trust them. I also have those silly key keeper "animals" in the yard. In them, I have keys to all the places I have lived in the past, and the neighbors have instructions to call the police if they see someone trying out the keys.

I also let the local emergency responders know of our situations in case of fire, and where the keys are. Why pay to fix the door later if they need to come in for a medical emergency?

I also have one key to the lower knob in a very specific place in the garage, which will NOT work on the garage door deadbolt, and a key to the deadbolt under the mat. The garage we can enter by a code key pad. You need both keys, which are different, to get in. While I'm giving advice, when we moved into a new house, we just changed one lock in case previous owners had given keys to others. No need to change both!

That is two ways to get into the house if needed. Also, in my purse I carry a little case with a complete set of house and car keys that is separate from my key ring. Unless I lock my purse in the car along with my keys, I don't have any problems. (And yes, I have done that. New rule: when putting gas in the car, keys must be in pocket or hand or locking gas cap.)

The older I get, the harder it is to outsmart myself!

Joe we just got through getting my dad a used mower deck for his mower which now works better than the one that came on it new, only now our mower is down, and sits.

Yes, those lawn mowers and snow blowers can be challenging. Today I had the battery replaced on our car. Jan had started to mow our lawn and quit. She could not get the new mower started again. It started on the first pull for me. The battery on the mower needed to be recharged.
