You can contact them as mentioned already through their user/seller ID.

They do not have to relist it on Ebay as long as the listing is NOT active... they can sell it to you Directly and save the Ebay listing and "final value %" fees adds up. You would still pay through PayPal and be protected. Some sellers sell on other sites like Etsy. So they may still have the item.

I would just ask if the item is still available for sale. ( If you really want it ask if they would accept $abc ). You saw what others sold for in the completeds.

Have fun...

Thanks everybody for the information.  My hubby was under the impression that you COULDN"T contact the seller and ask them to re-list, that it would be against eBay rules.  I don't want to do anything to jeopardize my husbands account w/eBay.

Of course, eBay wants their share of the sale - so . . . .

I added the seller to my "favorites" and it said it would notify us when she next lists anything for sale.

Thanks,
Bucky

It's not against TOS to ask them.. I have asked about items before and had them offer to make a buy it now listing just for me.. Ebay doesn't mind as long as it's all done through ebay and they get their share..

Quiet,

Those sunglasses are cool!  8)  I like 'em.

Bucky,
Yep, like said by Iris and a couple others, just contact the seller and ask if they might list the item again.

BTW, I found the most awesome baby toy on Amazon the other day. It's called a Winkel, which is a cute name anyway.  I just had to get it for Savannah.   ;D  At almost 7 weeks old, she's beginning to reach for things...like her Daddy's beard.  She likes to touch that stuff on his face.

The toy is actually a small rattle with rubbery, colorful tubes all around it squiggly-like and small in diameter for a small baby to grab.  The day she got it in the mail, she grabbed it!  It's supposed to be very good for helping their dexterity and muscle strength, too.

I have sold some vintage clothes on ebay. And read the forums. So I know sellers have been contacted when a listing has ended and a buyer missed it.

You can go on your ebay page.
Top of the page, right hand side is "community" click that; click " discussion forums in drop down menu; in alphabetical order find "seller central" (Chose that one not buyer)  and if you want you can ask current sellers for their opinion...if you really want it.

* you can't email and ask to buy off ebay/ but when an item is not active a seller can offer it off. When it is not active basically the contract on the item is over/ended. But, ebay did just change some contact rules this June...so???

Well, I took the advice posted here and contacted the seller and asked her if she was considering re-listing the item.  She sent a note back and said she would re-list it in the next few days.  Yay!!

Thanks for the suggestions.

I got a great deal on factory sealed, new printer ink recently - cheaper than I could buy it locally at the store!  Placed my bid the last 15 seconds of the auction . . . "YOU'VE WON!" . . .  love it!!   ;D

Oh yes Bucky....you sure do have it bad....lol! ;) But as long as you are getting good deals....have fun and go for it!

You crack me up....

Yesterday in the mail I received one of my eBay purchases.   ;D  You're going to think this is "strange", but I got a 70's Tupperware catalog.  A lot of my Tupperware purchases were in this era - I wanted to see how much they were selling for and what some of them were actually called.

Wow . . . wish I could order some of that Tupperware now!  (I know I can on eBay, but I meant at the catalog prices they are listed at from the 70's.)  For instance, there is a "Shape-O" ball that is red/blue and has pieces that you match holes to - great for pre-schoolers.  In this catalog it sold for $4.19.  Today, Tupperware sells the same item for $29.00!!!   :o

Back in the 70's the color "scheme" was tangerine, apple green, daffodil, and brown - along with the pastels.  Yep, I've got a bunch of all those colors.   :D

As the saying goes, "one mans trash is another mans treasure" . . . who knew back then if you kept a party catalog that years down the road you could sell it for money - and people would "bid" on it to win it!   LOL

I would love to get a hold of some Lia Sophia jewelry catalogs to check prices, but I'm too cheap, I don't want to have to buy it.

Also, in the mail I received my printer ink buys . . . I'm set now for at least the next year.   ;D  I got some really good deals on those - all brand new, factory sealed.

I DID win the re-listed eBay item too . . . I should get that in the mail next week.  Yay!  Nothing else is in the works (for now).   ;)  But, it's fun to look!

Anybody else find any great buys?

Always get great buys on ebay!

I like to buy my cell phone accessories on there (most recent is my car charger for the cell phone). I can get it for a couple of bucks with free shipping as opposed to MUCH more in the department stores and MUCH MUCH more at the cell phone stores.

Happy shopping.....
