what a nightmare, I was using steroid eyedrops per opthamologist and at first made my eyes and body feel better but then migraines got triggered and my primary doc who knows how sensitive fibro people are said I could just stop, had been using almost a week 3xday, i tapered to one drop a day for couple but he said fine to go cold turkey, he said steroids can damage cornea lining actually.
anyway, i wanted to go off anyway cus it was triggering pain problems, but wow stopping them has made an even worse pain problem...and I am scheduled to go on a trip soon, do not want to be in major pain mode.

any remedies for stopping steroids? if its hard for you to picture getting effected by the drops pretend the question is for going off prednison, any known folk remedies or mainstream medical ones to quiet the body?

Wendy, are you using otc artificial tears without preservative also?  If not, perhaps using some regular otc drops could help you off the steroid drops, or maybe you need to talk to the doc.  I can't imagine withdrawal from steroid drops, sounds painful.  Hope you get help.  One more thing for a quick temporary fix is to use a cold washcloth over your eyes, or get a blue gel icepack and wrap in a clean cloth and hold over your eyes.  Lucy

I would call the opthamologist.
We do not know why you think it is " steroid withdrawal pain?"

hey thanks you guys for input

the reasons I attribute to the steroid eye drops tying into getting off kilter is because I was somewhat stabilized on gabapentin before I started them and now that I went on the eyedrops and off of them have had some of the worst headaches in a few months, cant think of any other triggers that are new. I also started getting insomnia that was clearing up on the gabapentin.

I think it may also have been the combo of gaba with flurometholone, my body may have been having hard time breaking them down together.
