I have been on it for a year & really have not noticed a difference.  I was to up the amount but severe reactions.  Does anyone take it and if so, does it help you?

Gayle

I am on it. It makes me sweat, makes me drool, I swallow so much spit it makes my stomach slosh when I walk. It has also made me throw up. I only take one a day and sometimes I only take it every few days. Not so sure I like it though it does make fluids 'run'.

I find it very helpful. It makes saliva fora few hours, and I even need to shake saliva out of my bass clarinet mouthpiece sometimes. I don't have any side effects from it. Obviously, it isn't the same for you. Sharon

By me it really helped at start and I had almost a normal saliva. After a month I started getting worse and a week ago I  stopped taking it and I actually think that is better now without it.

Anybody who han an idea why it stopped working? Work Exovac in the same way?

MissyLouWho?

I didn't like the side effects of pilocarpine so I switched to the Evoxac.  While I still have the drooling, nausea and sweats, they are not as bad as with the pilocarpine.

If you go off of it for a week or two, you may notice it really did help you.  I ran out of my meds and couldn't afford to refill it for almost 2 weeks.  That's what made me realize the medicine I thought didn't work, really DID work ;)

Sven~How many do you take a day?  Maybe ask your doc if you can try the evoxac?  I know when I was on anti-depressants, my body adjusted to them quickly.  The doctor had to increase my dosage often and switch to different anti-depressants after I got to the maximum level of the one I was taking.

I take it anywhere from 3-6 times a day. It does not make much saliva for me either unless I have something in my mouth, i.e. a xylitol melt or a mint etc. Then I have just enough but no extra.

I am hopeful things have receded over the past year so that I am getting better and need it less. This is how it always has worked for me.

I took 4x5 mg/day. I have not been taken it for a week now and still have more saliva then before. Strange.

I got my doc to prescribe me Evoxac but they dont sell them in my country so I will have to find it on internet.
