Are you talking about a medication or lasik eye surgery?  I know the eye surgery causes dry eye and shouldn't be done in SJS patients.  Don't know if it could have an effect on the bowels or not though.  If lasix is a medication, then I don't know.
Someone should be along soon with some answers!

Do you have high blood pressure or fluid retention that the Dr is giving you this for? If you lose a lot of fluids, YES you will be dry.

Thanks, Jazzlover   My legs are quite swollen, that is why I'm taking Lasix, however I feel like I'm drying out too much.

I had to take a low dose water pill for blood pressure issues before and it made me so constipated even a laxative didn't help.. I had to stop taking it..

Thank you Iris,  I was afraid of that.  I'll just have to figure this out by trial and error but it is driving me crazy.

People, this has perhaps helped my husband.  He takes Lasix every other day for water retention.  Well twice in recent months, he has become so constipated his back hurts and even the laxatives don't help.  He says he accidentally took two of these in one day a day or so ago.  We will have our dr weigh in on his constipation problems vx. Lasix.  It doesn't happen all the time, but now we have an idea as to the cause. It takes several days for him to get over this constipation.  See how good our board is?  This is something to take to our dr.  Lucy
