mouth sores

Hi,
i am new to this and have never posted before. I was recently dx with Sjorgrens. Is it normal to have mouth soresb on tongue and inside cheek area. I can also see white spots in each bqck corner of mouth. Could this be from Sjorgrens? And, I seem to have more saliva than normal. Is this also from Sjorgrens?

Hi Bella welcome to the forum, one of my major symptoms are mouth ulcers, which also appear on the tongue. My rheumy said it can be caused by Sjogrens but due to me having a low white blood cell count and low IgM this does not help.

Last week a doctor not my regular one said that MRSA can cause mouth ulcers, this is a new one on me, funny thing is I'm a carrier for MRSA and had it all throughout my heart operations.

Welcome Bella, this is one of my major symptoms too, definately from the Sjogrens!
    We must be vigilant with our oral hygiene, and not eat sweet sugary foods, you might find some toothpastes can not be tolerated because of some of the ingediants.
also some acidic drinks can be the cause, its really trial and error,   sip water frequently, but dont gulp lots.
   there are special mouth products on the Internet for dry mouths which of course is the main culprit for our problems.
                   try sucking on sugar free mints or lemon drops,    hope this helps a little, Dolly x

Thank you for the replies. I hate this feeeling in my mouth!  A few weeks ago I was dealing with an inflamed lacrimal gland that finally got better after using Rx drops for two weeks....now this with my mouth! It seems to always be something! I am sure I will be back again with more questions. Actually, I do have another question. Do you ever have chest pain that comes and goes and do you ever have shortness of breath? I have these but not necessarily together or at the same time. I wonder if these are more of lupus symptoms??
