This should be fun.  It's scheduled for this weekend.  Wondering who will 'show up' from the other side (if anyone) .. what's coming in the future  ... etc etc.  I've seen John Edwards and Long Island Medium and am looking forward to my session.

I'm NOT taking this as gospel truth .. just as fun.

I'm also doing a past life session ...  just to see what comes up.
Again ... not taking it as gospel truth .. just as fun.

I think it sounds like fun.  Hope someone good comes for a visit.  Let us know how it goes.

Happy Mother's Day to you!  That's an awesome gift for yourself.  Me and hubby see a guy around here every few years.  So much fun (and a bit insightful  ;)).  I love supernatural stuff  ;D

Make sure you let us know how it went!

SueAnn

My sisters and I have done this in the past and it was fun and insightful.

When I worked at Embassy Suites, they would have psychic fairs come in every 6 months or so. Being hotel employees, we could go in without paying the cover charge (usually $5), but if  it was slow, and we were in uniform, they would often give us free readings. Lots of fun! Past life reading,  tarot,  palm-reading, aura photography---THAT was a hoot-- and I always enjoyed it, and never believed a single word of it.
However.
I have an online friend who does psychic readings.  She is Wiccan, and throws down those Tarot cards like nobody's business, and helps other people learn how to do it. She tells you how to cleanse your house of negative energies, special prayer rituals for sick friends, and never asks for anything in return, least of all money. If I send her a question about a situation, she gets it dead-on. She does not bounce back what she senses right away, but lets it steep for a couple of days before she lets me know. Usually it's exactly what I know has to happen, and it's just confirming my own thoughts, but every now and then she comes up with something that I think is off the wall at the time, but later on, there it is.

Have fun :))))

I went to a psychic once after a friend of mine did.  Psychic told my friend "she would be getting a letter in the mail........"  I didn't remember much more of what she told her.  My friend had just become a widow at 34 and I'm not sure if she realized at the time how "flaky fun" this is.

Well, the psychic told me "you will be getting a letter...............
Also told me I had 4 children when I had one and was mid-40's, not likely to have 3 more.

I would also do this again for fun and realize it's totally foolish.  Unfortunately, I know someone who got hooked on the phone psychic lines and what a bad scene.  Have fun girls.  That could be a whole thread when you're done.  Tell us how much they were on spot--or off base.

Yeah, one of the psychics told me that my recently dead grandmother was thanking me for the flowers...ones I didn't send.
The rule is, if they are charging you, they are simply using cold-reading techniques on you.

Will Ferrell did a great skit on SNL, where he was a Jonathan Edwards type, asking the audience, " did someone have an older relative pass recently? Your father? Did he wear glasses? Have a dog? I'm sensing that he drove a car... and did he eat food?" while the family is nodding and smiling and totally shocked at how accurate the reading was. TOOOO FUNNY.

The father-in-law of a friend of mine did psychic readings, didn't charge, and only did them when he felt he could. This was many, many years ago. Once when I was visiting, Mr. L insisted that I sit down, looked at the lines in my hand, and said, You will have a long life, not remarkable, and you won't get rich, but you are very fortunate - you will get 90% of what you want in life.

For a few years I would ask myself, what is the 10%. When something would go "wrong" in my life, I would try to measure it. I would think, well, that seems like more than 10%, but maybe I should wait until more things happen because it should balance out over time. And then I would notice a run of so-called "good" stuff happening.

It took me a while, but I finally realized what a gift Mr. L had given me. Whenever something happened that I didn't like, I would look for something good happening to balance it. Whenever I thought my life was going great, I would remember that there are ups and downs, and that you never get 100%, but that a 90-10 split is pretty good odds.

Over time I learned to be bigger than whatever was happening at that moment, so I would not be overwhelmed, either by sadness or by joy. That has stood me in good stead when I was diagnosed with RA and then Sjogren's, when our family experienced a whole series of deaths and disasters over a period of several years, when our son was injured in Iraq, and on and on.

May we all learn to be fully present in our lives, but not overwhelmed by their vicissitudes. I am grateful that years ago Mr. L saw something in me that could learn that lesson, and was willing to impart it to me in such a novel way.

Take care,

Genko

My neighbor went to John Edwards and said he was amazingly accurate.
This person is pretty well known in the New England area ...
I'll report back on Saturday after the visit.

I am very into the paranormal and metaphysics, psychic ability, astrology, numerology, energy healing, mediumship, past lives, etc.

I treat myself to a psychic reading once a year.  My next one will be with Bee Herz.  I read the testimonials about her on the website bestpsychicdirectory.com and she sounds fabulous.

My 2011 reading was with Cheryl Ann McGill also found on the above website.  Again, truly amazing with an angelic demeanor, kind heart, and impressive customer testimonials.  Cheryl Ann truly has the gift.  There is no pausing, hestitating or guessing.

These readings are not inexpensive but they feel good for the soul.  And I could spend the same $300-$400 seeing an MD specialist, and not feel anywhere as uplifted after the appt is over.

My new favorite show is Long Island Medium.  I used to think no one was better than James Van Praagh.  But wow, Theresa Caputo is outstanding.  I also like her personality and her love of family and the dogs.  Great show

I watch that show.  It's a hoot!
I don't know how she gets anything done with those NAILS!!

LizPetillo

Okay .. we went.  It was fun.  Some of what she said was a 'miss'.  Other stuff was very accurate and detailed in a way that you couldn't 'guess' about it.  It isn't something we will take as 'gospel', it was just fun.  She did make a prediction or two for me about my health and she gave a timeline in those predictions, so time will tell ....
