Back from my restful holiday.

I'm back!   Well, I have been back for six days. 

I went to visit my daughter in Johannesburg and left home on 21st March.  I was flying from Manchester to Johannesburg via Abu Dhabi.  I've flown that route before and stocked up on lipsalve, eye drops, biotene products, hand cream etc for the flight.  I also got the flight attendants to bring me a large bottle of water which kept me topped up all flight. 

I also booked special assistance.  I have an awful problem standing and can't walk far.  This was a godsend.  I had to explain that my large bottle of mouthwash was medicinal.  Luckily,I had taken along a copy of my prescription. 

Once in Africa, I sunbathed in the early morning without sun cream.  (8am for an hour) as my Vit D levels were low. I'm sure they are now topped up and will last me for a good whlie. 

It was wonderful to get the warm sun on my body.  We had a lovely time (my daughter who I was visiting and I) visiting the safari parks and playing with lion cubs and tiger cubs. 

It was also great to have a great rest from work and housework.  I felt quite refreshed.  Well I did until I got back to work.

I can heartily recommend a warmer climate.  Pity I can't go there every few months.

The flight back was great.  i got to do half of it in business class!  Unfortunately, it was not the overnight leg.
