Chris,

If a medicine lists dry mouth (due to being in the anticholinergics class), then it can cause dry eyes as well.  You already take a couple meds with this side effect & that may be the reason you're using drops every 15 minutes.  You should talk to your ophthalmologist about your meds (and any new ones that you are prescribed) so you don't damage you eyes in the long run.  Just because a medicine helps another symptom more then it dries you out, doesn't mean it's worth risking the eyes.  You sound like your eyes are suffering...please consider running this by your doctor first.

Thanks Anita for your input.   I know in my case I need to be on Effexor and Ativan.  Otherwise I would probably be suicidal with my OCD an all.   I think SJS is the worst disease someone with OCD could ever have.   OCD requires meds in many cases, including mine.   The meds make the dryness worse, its a lose lose situation..

I completely understand.  It really is lose, lose.  However, adding another (mobic) will likely make things even worse.  Maybe there is something else they could try.  At this point your dry eyes may be more medicine induced then SjS and you will have to be your own advocate about medicine being prescribe and how it will effect your eyes.  Not all doctors think of this has being a big problem...and for you it IS a big problem to add another med with that side-effect.

After Prednisone and Plaquenil I am at a loss.  I have tried both and the side effects were awful.  For whatever reason I have a very difficult time with strong meds.
