Provigil

For those who take Provigil, and those who would like to try it, but don't have insurance, I seen that it is listed to go generic at Wal-mart this month. That is a big deal.

I still haven't called them to confirm it, but where I seen it listed was the Wal-mart paper this week.

I don't have insurance at this time, because it was dropped, and provigil is all that helps me able to do anything.

The drug store said to get one months supply paying cash would be $800.00 . Well, where we have gone to a health center on a sliding scale they gave us a pharmacy card under some program to use, and one months worth with this card will cost us $60.00. That is a big difference, and worth it to me.

This is also another example for any who think they might have to quit their job and apply for disability, that there is more out there for help than we might think.

But, I know that could change at any time with the government.

Thanks for the info... I have a prescription for provigil, but in the non generic version, it is about $10 per pill (per day), which doesn't work out well with my budget. Because of side effects I cannot take it daily anyhow, but it is good to know that it is becoming more affordable.

I had an RX for Provigil or Nuvigil some time ago but my insurance wouldn't cover it.  We even have more restrictions as of the first of this year. Darn.

Is this the same thing as Adderall?

Not quite the same thing, A66eyroad. Adderall is amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, while Provigil (modafinil) and Nuvigil (armodafinil) are classed as mood-brightening and memory-enhancing psychostimulants.

Boy, we sure know who is making the money don't we. It is hard to believe that provigil is 800$ and it isn't even a miracle heart med or a miracle autoimmune cure.lol Irish

My copay is $40 but the little slip said my insurance saved me something like $2400. I can't believe anything should cost that much!! It works great but I don't take it every day. I found that if I take it every day it's not as effective after a few months.
