Hi Pooh!

So good to hear from you again. And what wonderful news about your granddaughter's baby. Please keep us updated on how things are going for her, and for you, and Mr. Pooh.

How wonderful to hear from all my "old" friends and new.  I do miss the lot of you and wish I could join you more often.  I seem to be busy these days taking care of my hubby and my beloved Pooh Bear who is turning 13 and has gone deaf and now going blind.  She is a trooper though.  She keeps Paddy Paws in line and still rules the household.   :D

@Scottie - Yes Olde Fred is still dancing me around.  Last fall he pitched me off the front porch down into the front lawn by way of the garden first.  I spent most of the night in ER getting xrays, and a good looking over.  Bruised a good bit of this old body, but thankfully didn't break anything.  Life goes on with me.   :D

Thanks everyone most of all for remembering me and thoughts and prayers for my granddaugher.  I have missed you all so much.  I wish I could come back and help again, but I'm afraid I just am not up to it anymore.  I can't remember what day it is anymore.

I've developed a new addiction though.  I discovered I can still knit socks and found the yarn that makes it's own pattern as you knit.  I love it.  You never know how they will turn out.  I am on my 17th pair.  My son's and daughter's and grandkids are all wearing them, plus my dear friend Carolyn and her daughter.  Orders are coming in faster than I can knit them, but I am having such a great time with them.

Take care all and keep this site going, PLEASE!  It has helped so many of us SJS'rs.

Hugs, Love and God Bless, Pooh

@Irish, yep it was me that took the shower with my slippers on.  Washed my face with my glasses on, and too many other dumb things to mention. ;D ;D

Pooh, I thought that was you. I remember we had some really good times laughing a few years ago. Seems a bunch of us would get really silly at times.

I have to laugh at the thought of you knitting socks. You remind me of my sister. She is a nurse and just retired and cut back to 6 days a month. She has taken to crocheting different items. She is very crafty and can do things so easily---sort of like you I think.

One day I went to visit and go out to lunch with her. A quick note: She had been moving her bedroom from one floor to the other and had things in boxes all over the place. When I got there she was sitting on her love seat crocheting away surrounded by boxes and the biggest mess---happy as a clam.. She can crochet for hours now and not worry about going to work. Now every time I think of her I see her surrounded my junk and crocheting---sort of like the mad hatter.

She is crocheting texting gloves out of fancy yarn that she gets for gifts from her kids. She is going to be selling things at various places also. I wish I could sit and craft for hours like that but I would rather read!

Sorry that Fred is still around---he has certainly been a faithful bugger. I bet the new people don't know who Fred is. I will let you tell them. Hugs Irish

Just two weeks ago I said to my husband that I am going to take up knitting again to try and free my hands up as they are becoming extremely stiff and sore, so off I went and bought wool etc and have started you know i could barley hold the wool, after much pain and perseverance they are slowly freeing up It will most likely take me all this winter to knit a jumper but I don't care because it has helped. ;)

That pattern for your socks sounds interesting.
