I wait impatiently for my little hummers.

I track their progress on hummingbird.net.
It tracks the ruby throat which is the only one that comes through Ohio.

The earliest they have come here to my area is march 23rd. I keep 2 feeders going for them and have lots of annuals and perennials they like.

By the first of October they are gone, headed back south.

I was lucky...the first time I popped on to peek at them I caught mom feeding the babies!

They are both trying out their wings today! :)

I just saw the mom feed the remaining baby. He/she is trying their wings out..I think it will leave the nest today.

this makes me even more excited to see the hummers return to my house soon.
