I used to have a normal laugh before SS came into the picture then all of a sudden I started to develop a 'snort' when I laugh...you know, like a pig.  It's awful.  I wonder if it is because my nasal passage ways are drying up.  Anybody else experience this?

Wow, really? I get a good belly laugh and I snort, I don't mind, but the kids make fun of me. Not sure if it's related to SS?

Wild Thing, you just made me laugh.  I was just talking to my daughter on the phone while she was playing with her puppy.  She said the dog "snorts" and I laughed.  Then she said she "snorts" back at the dog.  Then I heard snorting from the phone and didn't know which one it was.  I thought it was tie to say goodbye and hang up.

I think everyone snorts sometimes when they go to laugh and unfortunately it's usually in the presence of other people.  Lucy

I've laughed with a snort most of my adult life.....don't know how long I've had SJS......only know that my African Grey Parrot picked up snorting and it's really funny!!

I've noticed I don't laugh as much as I used to years ago - I think I'm just too anxious, worried, tired, sick, etc. Trying to get rid of my crappy job and boss who swears and yells and get a better job!

If I laugh too hard I end up coughing really, really hard. I miss deep laughs!

well I'm blaming the Sjogrens.  It's the Sjogrens fault.  That's what I usually say anyway to explain most stuff 'I can't help it it's the Sjogrens'.  Now I'm starting to blame my suspected dyslexia and ADD.

Comes in handy, having illnesses to blame.  The stuff you can get away with that others can't...
