I have been going to a naturopath (functional medicine) for several years with success.  I am on multiple supplements - Acetyl L-Carnitine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin D, E, Evening Primrose oil, Flax seed oil, Fish oil, Beyond B-12 (sublingual), Multi-vitamin, Magnesium/Potassium aspartate, Calcium, along with all the prescriptions  ;)

They have all seemed to be helpful for energy level, clearer thinking, etc....

good luck!

thank you! i am so hoping it can help with dryness. i have been following a strict diet for weeks now-and its really helped my bad left eye-but yest it started drying up a bit again-think its the glands getting clogged and today very dry-believe its also due to stress.  if i could just master stress!!

It can be tempting to attribute improvement in an illness that has varying symptoms over time to your strict diet. Or your exercise program. Or whatever else it is that you are doing. It can also be strictly random fluctuations without regard to how you are trying to control your disease.

I saw an Intergrative Medicine doctor. I thought he was far smarter than any of the conventional docs, and I am still using supplements he recommended although I am no longer seeing him. He also suggested I ask my PCP for 10 weeks of FMLA - my cortisol levels were truly off the charts.

At the end of the day, I stopped seeing him only because I couldn't afford to. They didn't take insurance and I had to pay up front for every visit, test and supplement.

Good luck!
