Sorry I don't know about them.  I don't eat a lot of them though.  I am about to embark on a carb reduced and dairy free diet shortly.  I usually feel better when I am on it.  Search the threads as there was one recently on diets.

Valene,

When I started having horrible problems with my mouth and throat, I was referred to an allergist who tested me for EVERYTHING. I am allergic to all the usual suspects: pollen, grass, trees, etc. I thought for sure I had a food allergy, but turns out my only food allergies are to pork and lamb. I am a vegetarian!! Good thing, hmmm.

I figure this means I can eat what I want: Mostly fruit, veggies, yougurt, chess and rice. I eat almond/peanut/hazelnot butters and drink protein drinks. I do eat eggs once a week or so with no problems...

Take care,

I have also had extensive  food allergy/sensitivity testing done by both a Naturopath and allergist. Any items the body perceives as an invader is dealt with by an inflammatory response. There are common ones but it is hard to go by any "one" diet book or website as these food items may not be ones that your body reacts to.You hate to cut out a very nutritious food when it does not invoke an inflammatory response IN YOU.
I have had to cut out most fruit( can't handle much if any fructose any more) sea foods, gluten, casein ( the protein found in dairy products and as filler in a multitude of processed foods)  and sugar of any kind.
Thankfully I can handle eggs really well. I eat at least two a day( I raise free-range chickens for eggs so I have a good source!) and really do well with all kinds of beans, nuts, seeds and every vegetable under the sun.
I started to really change my diet two years back when I had  major stomach pain, diarrhea, ,nausea and bloating. All the Sjogrens stuff began to slowly emerge about the same time.  The dietary changes have quelled all but the nausea ( which I think may be more hormonally related currently) in terms of tummy troubles but the eye dryness, swollen glands etc. persist.I truly believe finding the right diet FOR YOU can make a world of difference in helping your body be as well as it possibly CAN be!

Nothing inherently wrong with eggs - a good cheap protein source.  My ex was a celiac, and he ate an egg every day, with no problems. On the other hand, I can no longer eat eggs, as they trigger diarrhea. I've tried just egg whites, as well as the egg substitutes, and about 1 time in 3 I get really sick.

So it depends on how your body reacts.

I love eggs but for some weird reason, since being on the plaquenil I cannot tolerate them at all, perhaps it is coincidence but I do miss not being able to eat them.
