I think I know the answer, but do you ever feel burning inflammation in the nose and even at breathing?

Mrs.Crary

YES! I always had trouble explaining this symptom as a child. I told folks my nose felt too clean and it hurt. Now I know that it's inflammation, but that's a tricky concept for a 5y/o to grasp.

mshistory

Yes, and it drives me nuts! Especially when it happens at night when I'm trying to sleep!

Hi Gilth,

When my nose starts to burn and it starts to swell, it usually means that its way too dry (this is just in my case as you may not have this kind of reaction).  I use a liquid spray gel for noses and in an hour or two, the stinging and inflammation has gone down a bit.

I use the spray as well, and do it religiously daily, maybe 4 - 5 times, when I wake up and before bed for sure, just to keep things moisturized. I believe it is from Rhinarious. I also use the gel at night.

Saline burns the inside of my nose -- it feels like, "This canNOT be good for me." Is there anything out there that's more soothing? Maybe something with aloe?

There's also a nasal gel. I use that sometimes at night.

"Ayr" saline gel is very soothing in the nose. I also like "Nose Better" but is often difficult to find. I have my pharmacy order it for me.
