Slather feet in as much moisturizer as you can stand and put on socks. I do this more with my hands then my feet, but it helps a lot with the cracks I get in my fingers.

Carolina

OK this is THE solution.

I had bleeding, burning painful cracks and tracked a trail of blood when I was barefoot.

This is IT

I buy it 12 jars at a time.  Amazon.com.

I use it morning and night, and wear socks after I put it on.

PediFix Deep Healing Foot Cream
by Pedifix

It absolutely worked for me.  Recommended by my podiatrist.

Amazing.

My nail technician says it gives him nothing to do when he gives me a pedicure!

THANKS..I'll order now..gotta love AMAZON :)

My feet do that too. I LOVE CeraVe Moisturizing Cream (the cream in the tub - not the lotion). I layer that on, let it soak in a minute, than slather on a layer of Aquaphor then immediately put on socks. In the morning, they are SO much softer and healthier. After a few days, they are completely healed  :)

Oh Kelly,
Mine tooo!! I have the worst feet. I try oil in my bath and have tried every creme known to man. I have not tried PediFix Deep Healing Foot Cream
I too am ordering this. Hope it works! My hands are the same way. Can you use on them also?

Thanks for the info Carolina!!
Love and hugs harlin

ooooh, not sure about hands.

The problem with the bottoms of my feet was that they had gotten such thick skin, and then the cracks that were deep.

The PediFix softens the thick callused skin and then keeps it thin.

It has urea in it (yeah) which I think is an acidic substance that softens the skin.

Is the skin on your hands thick and then cracked, or just cracked?   Well, I'd guess maybe also thick?

Keep us posted.

Looking for a Christmas gift for my s-i-l who's a runner, and I came across these wool socks. When I read the reviews I thought of this post. Maybe these'll help someone!

Yes, somewhat thick especially around my thumb. My fingers are cracked around the nails too. terrible looking hands. I hate to shake hands with people my hands are so rough.

My feet are like yours they are so thick around the heals and on the edge of my big toes. I am ordering that cream right now. I sure hope it helps. I will give anything a try. ( I think I have tried most things lol)

I haven't been online much for awhile and boy have I missed everyone!!

If you are not allergic to lanolin, I use Bag Balm on my hands for deep cracking and splitting.  Its cheap and very effective and is used by many many master gardeners to keep their hard working hands in top shape.

You can buy it many places including Walmart.

Urea in footcreams is such a must, mine was horrible and cracked all the time until I bought one with 10% Urea in it.
So now after I shower I file my feet and put the cream on and then a pair of socks to properly let it soak in without me rubbing it off when sleeping or walking around.
It has made my feet pretty enough for me to feel okay to fling them up in my BF's lap and demand a footrub without feeling bad about how they look.  8)

Elaine, the Pedifix sounds good. Since I'm diabetic, I wonder if it's a good idea to try.  I guess as long as my feet seem ok, it's worth a try.

I have so many different lotions, but have nothing I'm super crazy about.  Lately I've been using some. "creamy petroleum jelly" I get at the dollar store. It seems to work ok, and it doesn't have the icky feel of  vasoline.

Ok, my feet are calling me for help right now! Here comes the lotion!

Hi Kelly,

I use Sole Saver from Beauty Spa company. They are a home party company but you can order online as well. My feet are always dry and cracked because first of all I hate socks and shoes, but the law says we have to wear them in public :). I found this stuff and absolutely love it although I will look at the other stuff mentioned here. Good luck finding something that works for you.

Just bought Pedifex thanks to the postings here and in 3 days, my feet are already starting to feel better.  Thanks!  One thing I dislike is spending money on cremes and ointments that don't work. . This one is worth the $5.
Plaquenil (generic), vitamin D, Amitriptyline, Citalopram

Just recieved my Pedifix! Can't wait to try it!
