one eye soooo much worse than other and the other eye way better??? nornal?

i know i've asked this before but my left eye is cauterized and plugged but dry -bone dry-i use drops and lacriserts -drops every few minutes...omg.. now my eye has no plugs-the tear duct that was scarred shut is wide open and i rarely use drops???  also my glands are more clogged in my right eye..

i am at a loss.... can sjogrens MOVE around like this?  i would do anything to get some relief in this left eye.. i feel so lopsided!!!   anyone else going through this? i am just wondering if this is normal???

thanks for replying... my left eye was always worse but now its out of control and my right is fine... so odd. i have asked 3 specialists and they all say its just sjogrens...ughhh

me too ! my right eye is so much dryer than the left one - interesting question !
gotta ask the ophtalmologist too -

im actually very VERY dissappointed by him - as my dry eye began back in 2005 - and it was until LAST YEAR it clicked to him it could be Sjogrens so he asked me how I felt overall - when I mentioned I had Fibromyalgia his face changed and sent me to a rhemmie to be checked - All that time he would always attribute my eye symptoms to my allergies or to computer use -

on the other hand I did visit the same rheummie im going with now in 2004 - he diagnosed me Fibro and low evolution RA back in 2004 - but he NEVER asked about dry eye - I didnt take the RA diagnose seriously as I thought it was Osteoarthritis just like my parents have and decided I wouldnt be a pain killer addict - so I never went back - If he ONLY had asked if I had dry eye and dry mouth I wouldve gotten my Sjogrens diaagnosis and treatment back then -

The Sjogrens advanced throughout my body - and now we cant reverse it !

So I remember back around 2007, I had already asked the ophtalmologist why my right eye would feel "streteched out" around the muscles, and hot and painful - he said ITS THE COMPUTER ! - arrrggh -

Im sticking with him cuz he knows my eyes better than any other - and he´s supposed to be "one of the best in town" - at least he knows what Sjogrens is !

Ive seen him 3 times after his diagnosis in March this year, gotta see him before Christmas , so lets see what he says about the right eye being dryer -

Hi,
I too find that one eye is worse at times.  I recently brought a steamer.  The ones at the drug store used for colds and congestions.  I usually allow the steam to wash over my eyes for a few minutes daily.  It does bring me great relief.
