Well today I had my neuro. follow up. He was so impressed at how well I'm doing! I went from bed-ridden & not walking 5 steps without help to going back to work full-time  ;D

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to go back for another appointment for a year because the plaquenil has helped so much. Also the B12 shots & Alpha Lipoic acid has gotten rid of most of my horrible feeling small fiber neuropathy in my feet & legs!

However, he still wants to see me in 6 months. He said sjogrens can cause so many nerve issues that he wants me to come in twice a year for updates.

But really, I'll take it!!

I'm so happy even though I'm exhausted & I'm going to grade papers on the couch tonight while hubby cooks dinner.

Well wishes to all, Carie

Rah!

Let's hear it for Vitamin B12 (preferably methyl b12, or hydroxy b12) in shots or sublinguals. It really minimized my neuropathy so that I no longer walk with zombie legs, but with normal or nearly normal legs.

Let us know how it goes. And hurray for you for getting a good neurologist!

Best,
