Happy Thanksgiving today to our Canadian members!   ;D

How do you celebrate the day?  Here, in the states, our Thanksgiving usually involves a turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetable and something made with pumpkin.

However you celebrate the day . . . hope it's a good one.

Well thank you very much

My family dinner.  We have Turkey, Stuffing, Cranberry jelly, whipped mashed potatoes, yams,  which ever veg dinner buns and gravy.  Then we have pumpkin pie with whipped cream and also serve apple pie.  Not a whole lot different than yours  :)    Ususally I decorate the table with Autum display gordes, leaves, apples and use candles to light the room.  Not this year though.  Pretty plan Jane but that being said I surprised my Mom and took a complete "Turkey Dinner" (yes pie too) up to the hospital.  I sat with my mom at her bed and we had a great time and enjoyed out meal inspite of the situation.   She was totally surprised!

DryEyes,

Sounds a lot like what lots of us do in the states.  I'm sure your Mom was surprised that you brought her an entire meal and spent time with her.  How sweet!  ;)

I'm sure your mom enjoyed her home cooked meal over the hospital meal any day.  Plus, having the time spent together . . . priceless.  It's all about the Thanks in Thanksgiving.   :D

It's never fun to be in the hospital during a holiday - I'm sure your presence there brightened your moms day.

Thank you a few days late.

Yes it is almost identical. Let's just say at our supper it involved a hall, and 3 tables to hold all the food. 8)
